Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not do when using capconvert.com, the Learn knowledge surface, the blog, audit forms, and other Capconvert public properties.

Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) sets out behaviors that are prohibited when accessing or using capconvert.com, including the marketing site, the Learn knowledge surface, the blog, author pages, audits, the contact and audit-request forms, and any other public surface operated by Capconvert, LLC. It applies to every user, every device, every credential, and every automated agent acting on your behalf.

A separate AUP at /cortex/aup governs the Cortex product surface specifically and adds further restrictions designed to protect the Cortex corpus, learnings layer, and outputs. Where this AUP and the Cortex AUP conflict for use of the Cortex surface, the Cortex AUP controls.

This AUP supplements the Capconvert Terms of Service. A violation is a material breach and may result in suspension, termination of any active agency engagement, and legal action.

Prohibited - Scraping & Automated Extraction

You must not, and must not permit any third party to:

  • scrape, crawl, mirror, harvest, frame, or otherwise programmatically extract content from capconvert.com beyond what a normal browser session retrieves, except as permitted by robots.txt for the User-Agent you identify with;
  • use a headless browser, browser automation framework, screen recorder, or screen-capture tool to capture Capconvert content for systematic extraction or republication;
  • chain multiple IP addresses, sessions, or User-Agent strings to bypass rate limits, paywalls, or anti-abuse controls;
  • ingest Capconvert content into a structured database for redistribution, resale, or use as a source for another product;
  • mass-download blog posts, knowledge articles, audit reports, case studies, or Cortex Research publications for any purpose other than personal reading.

Prohibited - AI / ML Training

Capconvert content must not be used to train, fine-tune, distill, retrieval-augment, or evaluate any AI or ML system without prior written permission. This includes the blog, knowledge articles, audit reports, case studies, Cortex Research publications, and any other text or imagery published on capconvert.com. See the AI Bot Policy for the technical signals enforcing this.

Prohibited - Form Abuse

You must not:

  • submit the audit-request form, contact form, or any other Capconvert form with false information, with intent to harass, or in volumes that overwhelm our systems;
  • automate form submissions or use any tool that submits forms without a real human action;
  • use Capconvert forms to send unsolicited commercial messages or to phish for credentials.

Prohibited - System Integrity

You must not:

  • send any virus, worm, trojan, or malicious code to capconvert.com;
  • attempt to overload, flood, or denial-of-service capconvert.com or any underlying provider;
  • interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of capconvert.com or the data hosted in it for any other user;
  • attempt to access accounts, data, networks, or authenticated surfaces that you are not authorized to access;
  • connect to capconvert.com through a proxy, VPN, anonymizer, or third-party tool that masks the origin of the request in a way that defeats our security or abuse controls.

Prohibited - Unlawful or Harmful Use

You must not use capconvert.com to:

  • violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
  • create or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, infringing, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful;
  • target individuals for harassment, stalking, doxing, or surveillance;
  • engage in or facilitate spam, deceptive advertising, fraudulent click activity, fake reviews, or manipulation of search ranking signals in violation of platform guidelines.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP at any time. If we determine that you have violated the AUP, we may, in our sole discretion and without prior notice, do any of the following: warn you, rate-limit or block your access, suspend or terminate any active agency engagement or Cortex subscription, retain pre-paid fees, pursue any available legal or equitable remedy (including injunctive relief, recovery of fees, and recovery of costs and attorneys’ fees), and cooperate with law enforcement.

Reporting Abuse

To report suspected abuse of capconvert.com (including scraping, unauthorized redistribution, automated form abuse, or security issues), contact help@capconvert.com. Security-specific reports should follow the Vulnerability Disclosure Policy.
