Plan

We start by understanding your business, its goals, and the competitive landscape you operate in to build a campaign strategy designed to deliver results from day one. Every campaign is structured with precision to maximize return and minimize waste.

The genesis of successful search marketing is keyword research. During the keyword research process, we identify all keywords relevant to your business and categorize them by intent, difficulty, average cost per click, & more. The product of this process is your Keyword Planner -an exhaustive list of the keywords relevant to your business and most likely to convert cost-effectively. These are your priority keywords.

To beat the competition you must understand your competition. Now that we know your priority keywords, we analyze the websites currently bidding the most for these keywords to develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape we'll be operating in. We analyze the keywords from your priority list that they're bidding the most on, the ad networks they're bidding for these keywords on, and the ads they're running on these ad networks.

Knowing your priority keywords is important, but equally important is knowing who is searching them. We leverage multiple tools at our disposal to generate your Key Personas -a list of people mapped by demographic and behavioral attributes. By building your business's customer archetypes, we can isolate their conversion catalysts -the things most likely to catalyze a conversion for them (e.g., money, value, quality, convenience, etc.).

Build

Now that we know the keywords you want to rank for, the competitors we'll be competing with, and the audience we're trying to convert, we start building the foundation for success. This begins with several account-level optimizations implemented before a single ad dollar is spent.

Many words and phrases won't be aligned with your brand, nor likely to convert even if they are. We infuse your account with a negative keyword list structured and developed over the combined learnings of dozens of accounts and millions of dollars spent.

Paid ad platforms like Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc. use smart bid strategies. Smart bid strategies are powered by 1st party data -the data your customers share with you. This includes first name, last name, phone, email, etc., which are used to find active accounts. Leveraging machine and pattern recognition, these systems identify potential new customers who are similar to your converters. We build and submit your all-time customer list in line with platform best practices. Additionally, we set up enhanced conversions, ensuring that 1st-party data is collected and securely passed at the time of conversion.

We can't improve if we don't know what's working, and we can't know what's working if we're not tracking it. Accordingly, we ensure all conversion events important to your business are set up and accurately tracking.

Launch & Learn

After confirming pre-launch optimizations are complete, we conduct a final review of all campaigns, ad groups, ads, etc., built and proceed to launch. Once launched, the learning period begins. While you're paying for results, you're also paying for actionable data. For data to be actionable it can't be anecdotal. It must be empirical.

All ad platforms have defined policies that your ads must comply with. Failure to comply can result in ads not showing, showing but with restricted visibility, or even account suspension. We monitor the initial rollout of campaigns and ads and ensure no issues limiting visibility or performance exist.

The "Learning Period" is a 5-day period during which the smart bid strategies and machine-learning-fueled pattern-recognition capabilities of various ad platforms calibrate to your campaign settings, user actions, and the competitive environment in which your ads are placed. We monitor the learning period closely to confirm everything is working and the ad system is learning.
